It was a glorious day, so naturally I drove 60km to buy a washing machine—the less said about my attempted repair of the old machine the better...
A visitor to the banksia I planted 40 or so years ago made me happy.
Banksia Ericifolia Golden Candles, a cultivar of a local banksia that grows really well at my place.
*the original repair actually went ok, other than taking a day & a half. Something different broke, the innards were well worn, & I spat the dummy

He and his cheeky rainbow lorikeet mate were having fun in the branches. His mate is in pic 3.
They’re gorgeous birds… and smart.
This one was cheeky; he knew he was being marvelled at and stuck around to be adored and worshipped!

During our recent zoo visit we saw wild (well, um… resident!!) #RainbowLorikeets - aren’t they just gorgeous?
We were there before opening time as we did a ’glamping’ overnight stay and the zoo keepers feed them first thing in the morning, in their accustomed hang-out place.
So the timing was perfect for some colourful and playful snaps!

They were at ground level and close to the main path. They had no care in the world apart filling up their bellies and posing for shots!
There were at least a dozen taking turns at the feeder.
