Based on the latest reporting by @joeldrapper regarding the #RubyCentralTakeover, and my own experiences which heretofore have not been reported, I am now sharing this additional timeline of what transpired during the DHH debacle surrounding #RailsConf 2025.

Recent events since have led me to a place where I believe the #Ruby community must start over from the democratic grassroots. I will not and cannot associate with Ruby Central as it currently stands. Here's why:

i thought i might be sad about the end of the era of #RailsConf, but mostly i just feel relieved that there’s one less event for @rubycentral to invite DHH to. they really just kept platforming that man right up until the very end and THAT’S what’s sad.

I had a blast at #RailsConf! Thank you so much for all the support for and kind words about my presentation on the history of deploying Rails apps. Your appreciation for my work on the faker gem was overwhelming and really touched me. ❤️
