For those interested in such things, here is a visualization of timetabled passenger movement on the #British heavy-rail network, for the week 2026-03-09 to 2026-04-15, aggregated at a 10 minute intervals.
I think it shows that passenger services have a variation between 01:00 and 04:00 but a high level of service leading into morning peak and then into the evening.

For those interested in such things, this is what you get if you look at London Bridge and Manchester Piccadilly instead..
The stations are labeled in white with their CRS code and as orange circles, proportional to the number of services a day. A bunch of stations are missing from the Manchester picture as services run from Scotland and South West England but won't fit on the map.

For those interested in such things, I've been looking at the timetable to work out trains-per-day. Here is what it looks like for the stations on the Heart of Wales line, including Garth.
The stations are labeled in white with their CRS code and as orange circles, proportional but quite small to the number of services a day, as there are only about eight services here.
