When making reservations with #raileurope they only gave me second class from Paris in direction Barcelona without letting me decide and didn’t react on my questions 👎

Wasted a lot of time yesterday trying to book a train from Perpignan to Barcelona with Renfe.

Faffed around creating an account to get a 10% discount only to fail on payment repeatedly with numerous Irish credit cards, Apple Pay and PayPal.

Tried RailEurope but their €7.45 fee felt extortionate. Trainline’s fee was €2.95 and allowed seat selection so I ended up going with them.

Wenn ich über Raileurope #Interrail - Reservierungen buche, muss ich ja eine Passnummer angeben - wenn ich aber noch nicht weiß, welchen Pass ich dann nehme oder die Nummer noch nicht kenne (Begleitung hat ihr Interrailticket noch nicht), was mache ich dann?
Wird die Passnummer überhaupt in der Reservierung hinterlegt?
Bei meinen Frankreichreservierungen letzten Sommer hatte ich nicht den Eindruck - aber vielleicht ist das ja beim Nachtzug Italien anders und verknüpft?

It seems I encountered my first disadvantage using an #interrail pass from #allaboard. #Italiarail only accepts passholder numbers beginning with „EU“ or „IN“ while my allaboard pass starts with „AA“.
Not a big disadvantage though, as #raileurope is cheaper anyway…

I want to complain to #raileurope's data protection officer (I was using them because recommended by #seat61) but their webshite doesn't give me any way of contacting them. Not even a paper address! Just a useless chatbot
Does anyone have a backchannel?
Otherwise I will have to look up their details in Companies House or something.
