@billkimler I disabled my account, although it probably won't last. Sometimes #ragequit is a viable option, if nothing else to let me gain some perspective. And all the people saying it was bc the official VP account "transferred"?? The Kamala Harris account was archived, and I was not forced to follow Crump. And I'm hearing many people found they were suddenly following MUSK.

I can't even get a Plasma 6 "Hello World" Plasmoid to work, so I guess I won't be porting those Rainmeter skins over.

Pourquoi on #ragequit ? 3 papiers de 10 pages à lire en anglais envoyez moi de la force svp 😅 J'en ai trouvé d'autres mais pas encore imprimés, et y'en a 2 faut que j'écrive aux auteurs, j'arrive pas à les chopper sur ce site illégal où vous ne devez pas vous rendre : sci-hub. C'est illegal car vous teouvez plein de papiers gratuitement, mais c'est illegal n'y allez pas.

I #RageQuit Mastodon a month or two after joining it in 2018 because I got so exasperated dealing with knee-jerk Marxists.
That said, while being rude and devaluing journalism isn't ok, the mastodon crowd does seem to veer left a bit, if only because the rest of the country I'm in has veered so crazy hard right.

In 1927, #WaltDisney was a man with a dream. A dream about a rabbit with a trolley. He took this dream and sold it to Universal as Oswald's debut, Trolley Trouble.
Trolley Trouble was a huge hit. Disney produced 26 Oswald shorts by mid-1928. Buoyed by his wins, Walt rode the rails from LA to New York to ask his boss Charles Mintz for a raise.
Instead, he found Mintz plotting to make Oswald shorts without him. Rather than a raise, Universal wanted to give Disney a pay cut and make Mintz the new head of Disney's LA studio.
Disney threw an epic #RageQuit and took the train back to LA, but he couldn't take the Lucky Rabbit with him - Universal owned Oswald's copyright. Embittered, Disney vowed to own everything he created until the day he died, plus 70 years.
