Both Polivierre and Premier Smith share a major approach with President Trump.
They all depend on #ragefarming for most of their support.
And that generates a "for is or against us" attitude amongst those who are angry. It results in Canada, in a "support us or we'll leave" threat. It fans the flames so much that people are threatening to kill others (mostly but, not limited to, opposing politicians).
Pissed off fills no pots, builds no homes, pays no wages …
It just leads to more anger. -

As the #NSPoli election is about to be called, I am starting to think about "contingency planning" in terms of media if the unthinkable happens in the US in November, then in Canada whenever the next Federal election is. I think I may have to cut out or seriously curtail #SocialMedia and #news consumption to protect my #MentalHealth. I will need to find ways of making sure I continue to work for #progress but avoid the #RageFarming and constant outrage. #cdnpoli #CanPoli

It's almost as if #FoxNews, #RageFarming, the use of #SocialMediaToPromoteGenocide, the use of #YoutubeToCreateNazis and the DRNK's #DearLeaders were foreseeable.

Looking at a lot of the posts about #BurningMan.
Many seem to be #RageFarming.
Maybe #Rage is debilitating when engaged in about issues like a huge number of campers getting rained in?
Maybe we need folk clear headed rather than enraged about things like muddy campers?
You'll be much easier to manipulate and mislead when you are enraged. Trump will like that. You'll miss l subtle communications. Bannon likes that.

There's probably no way to make for-profit social media a net benefit, and it will probably be very difficult to make even free platforms not targets for this manipulation.
