💁🏻♀️ TIL: 🚣🏝️ Kelsey Pflendler, an #Arizona based #GrandCanyon #rafting guide, became the first American woman to row solo from #California to #Hawaii, completing the 2,400 mi (~3,900 km) crossing in 43 days.
She broke both the women’s #record (previously 86 days) and the men’s record (52 days), arriving in #Honolulu on July 4, 2026.

I fell completely upside down out of a #raft in the middle of a big rapid, head in the water, feet above ....
And somehow found the strap at the back of the boat with my ankle, kicked into it, and swept my #paddle down behind me as we crested the next wave.
Managed to hold on with just my ankle and toss myself back into the boat.
I knew I would never be able to top that.
