Raft является одним из вариантов реализации Paxos.
Erlang ничего не решил и не решал, а всего лишь запускал параллельное выполнение кода в разных легковесных процессах используя подход к параллельным вычислениям Communicating sequential processes (CSP), ставший потом основной мулькой Golang и корутин. вся кластеризация у эрланга была на тему управления жизненным циклом групп легковесных процессов. это никаким боком к Raft & Paxos.
Расплодилось, понимаешь ли, мудаков с идиотами, неотличимыми от дилетантов во власти эффекта Даннинга-Крюгера. Называть вещи своими именами: мудаков — мудаками, идиотов — идиотами и не стесняться произносить это вслух, никакая политкорректность тут не применима.

And somehow found the strap at the back of the boat with my ankle, kicked into it, and swept my #paddle down behind me as we crested the next wave.
Managed to hold on with just my ankle and toss myself back into the boat.
I knew I would never be able to top that.

CW: Not really Raft spoilers
I'm having complicated feelings about #Raft .
Playing through the quest has been a very mixed time. For a game that is ostensibly open world survival, all of the story islands are truly puzzle platformers. I'm a fan of puzzle platformers! But I feel like the designs have been very uneven, with some areas a joy to play, while others are an unintuitive slog.
That said, I'm two scenes away from beating the last level, and it's... ridiculous? In the next-to-last scene, you have to build a stairwell out of crates in a small arena while three hyenas attack you and a madman wings cherry bombs at your head.
And, in normal mode (which I'm playing), you lose 2/3rds of your stuff whenever you die, and the save history is completely non-functional - you can't go back to a previous save and try again.
Naturally, I died very quickly, and lost some very important equipment.
So, I sat on it for a few days to determine whether I should give up or power through - where powering through meant another 10-20 hours working on upgrades and better equipment.
Which is what I decided to do.
But a key piece of equipment is healing salve, which requires eggs, which requires chickens (cluckers, in game)
Which is why I now have a poultry pen on my raft, populated by the first chicken of my set

Had a great weekend for gaming!
- #GamerKid and I *finally* beat the main progression in This Means Warp! (On easy mode, but that still counts - it had been kicking our butts up until yesterday!)
- I also completed Tangaroa in #Raft ! This was honestly my favorite island so far - intuitive but challenging, and an outstanding moment in the game's world-building. Two more islands to go!And of course, some other great sessions with both kids playing #Minecraft and #BoomerangFu .
Now - time to plan next weekend's activities 😀

За последние годы автоматизация работы с юридическими документами прошла несколько этапов: регулярные выражения, классический NLP, первые нейросетевые модели. Почти всегда результат упирался в одно и то же — либо качество оказывалось недостаточным для бизнеса, либо сопровождение и доработки делали решение слишком дорогим. В начале декабря Рег.облако выделило грант команде Raft на использование облачных серверов с GPU A100 80 ГБ. Задача эксперимента — проверить, как современные open-source LLM работают с длинными юридическими документами и можно ли использовать их для промышленного извлечения бизнес-критичных данных.
