I used to listen to a lot of podcasts, but lately I haven't been having the attention span for it.
Therefore, I hadn't really tried out Alex Goldman's new(ish) podcast: Hyperfixed. I'd listened to one episode, but because of the lack of focus, I didn't listen to much more.
Decided to try again this weekend with the latest episode: Little By Little.
It was fab. This episode had exactly all the ingredients that my brain needed to give it its full attention. Music, mystery, tech, history, science, typography. Glorious.

By way of comparison, #Radiotopia, which is great, sent me three solicitation emails the entire month of December. Which, to be clear, is still two more than I would have preferred to receive, but it's a far more justifiable and less annoying pace than five in five days or three in one day.

I listen to a fair amount of podcasts. One of my long term favorites is #SongExploder with Hrishikesh Hirway. Partly because his interviews are filled with interesting details about how a song was made, and you get to know the artist. Occasionally an episode comes by that is extra special. The one with #Raye and her song #Escapism is one of those. I now have a brand new artist to discover. Actually, I’ve got to check #070Shake as well. Listen to Song Exploder. I’m a huge fan of PRX and Radiotopia and really believe in what they do.
They just had an auction to raise money. I already donate, but one of the items was getting to do the Sonic ID, the chimes followed by “by P-R-X,” for the month of December for all their shows.
Well, friends, get ready to hear my voice saying three letters at the end of some of the best podcasts and radio shows ever.
I’m so stoked.
