The second #Threads #DVD includes some articles and letters from the #RadioTimes about the #film.
In #1984, the Radio Times was the in-house listings magazine for the #BBC. Its covers were generally designed to be inoffensive to old ladies. The image of a traffic warden with a bloodied and bandaged face carrying a rifle was something of a departure.
According to one of the mini-docs (also on disc 2), this shocking cover image was to warn viewers what to expect if they watched the programme.

What year?
The iconic image in the window resembles, but is not, a January 1972 cover of Radio Times.
The presence of noble Aggedor makes me think, 1974 or later.
Bottom right, to my sister's right: Alpha Centauri. Famed for giving me the glad eye and elocution lessons, I was its star pupil.
Who's that, by my side, to my sister's left? I do like the glittery off-the-shoulder arrangement.
I vaguely recall a family trip to London for this. I'm not certain that it was London.
