@gerrymcgovern Yes, but this is specially annoying when it's a PUBLIC radio station that should promote plataform-independency and not give a private fascist-machoist-owned platform as their only way to contact. Is it so difficult to give a simple fucking email address? The enshitification of the Internet grows everywhere.

The program that influenced me most was BBC Radio 3's Late Junction. It treated contemporary composition, early music, folk and traditional musics, experimental music, contemporary jazz, electronica with an experimental freshness, post-rock, and ambient all as equals, placing them side by side in the same playlist. It's not an exaggeration to say my entire musical value system was shaped by that program.

Friday's #composeroftheWeek has alawys hit differently for me:
In a previous job, I used to treat myself to a McDonalds on a Friday. I'd sit in the Car Park and put on #radio3 , eating my McFlurry and it was always
with his health rapidly failing
facing increasing challenges
the composer took ill
despite the efforts of doctors
and so on. I didn't often catch the programme during the rest of the week, so it was more of a weekly "Death of a Composer" program.
I'm led to believe composers are also sometimes young, healthy and in their prime.
