#Solarpunk: A Story of Sand and Energy: Imagining #Namibia’s Bright Future

"Step into a vision of Namibia’s future powered by creativity and clean energy. Solarpunk: A Story of Sand and Energy opened at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre in Windhoek, blending art, science fiction, and sustainability. Created by Namibian artist #VitjituaNdjiharine and Spanish artist #RocíoAsensi, the exhibition invites visitors to imagine hopeful, #regenerative futures rooted in #NamibianCulture.
"The Franco Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) came alive on 30 October 2025 as art lovers, sustainability advocates and curious visitors gathered for the opening of Solarpunk: A Story of Sand and Energy, an interactive exhibition inviting audiences to imagine Namibia’s future powered by creativity and #RenewableEnergy.
"The exhibition marks the first public presentation of works by Namibian artist Vitjitua Ndjiharine and Spanish artist Rocío Asensi, created during their joint residency in Swakopmund in August 2025. Their collaboration blends science fiction, #EnvironmentalAwareness and cultural storytelling, a visual dialogue between sand, sun and imagination.
"Under the leadership of the Goethe-Institut Namibia, and in cooperation with #TheProjectRoom, the Solarpunk project was selected from 47 international applications as part of the EUNIC Cluster Fund 2024/2025. The initiative forms part of the EUNIC Namibia Cluster, a partnership between the Goethe-Institut Namibia, Franco Namibian Cultural Centre, Club Italiano Namibia, Embassy of Spain, Embassy of Finland, Camões Namíbia and the European Union in Namibia.
"At its core, Solarpunk embodies a #RadicalOptimism, envisioning communities built on #sustainability, #inclusion, and #SharedResponsibility. Visitors explored installations that merge #NaturalMaterials with #FuturisticDesign, inviting reflection on Namibia’s abundant solar and wind energy potential, and the role of local identity in shaping a sustainable tomorrow. The exhibition’s participatory elements encouraged dialogue and imagination, a space where art becomes a tool for envisioning change
"By grounding its vision in Namibian traditions, cultural practices and environmental realities, Solarpunk: A Story of Sand and Energy challenges audiences to rethink what the future can look like when creativity and community come together."

Eminem está llenando tops con sus nuevos temas, incluyendo Houdini. WTF! Obvio que no vamos a ponerle los cuernos a Dua Lipa:

Él es misógino entre otros adjetivos; ella está centrada y bien enfocada en lo que ocurre en el mundo. Eso sí...Radical Optimism no destaca, necesita un chute promocional, y en los conciertos tampoco copan lugares importantes las canciones del largo opacadas por éxitos antiguos (de nuevo puntos suspensivos). Pese a ser un álbum interesante, pinta regular la cosa.
¿Hay mecha? Con ella siempre la ha habido. Ha lanzado éxitos incluso con un séptimo sencillo.
Como ya hablé del disco en un minihilo enlazado aquí, ahora ofrezco mi top de Radical Optimism por afinidad y labor técnica y compositiva:
-Training Season.
-Houdini.

I think #radicaloptimism will not always be a happy thing.
Nobody likes criticism, yet it seeks to optimize.
Radical hope is almost tragic.

@NicolaElle @revoluciana Dunno if it's strictly #radicaloptimism, but a friend of mine, Lou, transitioned in her seventies. I phoned her when I found out to congratulate her and find out how she was doing.
"Well," she said, "I'm finding out who my friends are, and so far it's all of them"
She didn't have long as herself, but my god, she enjoyed those years.

Semanas atrás lo dije, con la boca pequeña -lo admito-, Illusion era una ruptura con Houdini y, sobre todo, con la gran Training Season. El piscineo del video está genial porque el tema gana ambiental, estando a otras cosas. Illusion da illusion si no entras al fondo. ¿Dónde está la psicodelia o alguna miaja de la docena de influencias que nos prometió?
Dua, tía, te pasaste --dos cojonazos-- cebando el álbum --que si Sade, que si Primal Scream, que si Beach Boys...-- te faltó nombrar a la Sabater. Si es que no podía ser, por matemáticas, pero, como Scully, queríamos creer.
Queda patente por enésima vez lo arduo que es crear un gran disco pop. Future Nostalgia será de culto justo por lo excepcional del resultado artístico. Ahí está Pretty Please, una canción para quedarse a vivir.
Y es que es injusto pedir que nos entreguen obras maestras todo el rato.
