Well, bugger.
The adventure ends ... or, at least for a while, pauses.
Trundling along the highway halfway between Cloncurry and Mount Isa (lovely country) and the old bugger (the motorhome, not my wife) throws an error code and decides to run on 2½ cylinders ... not good in a V8 diesel.
The code tells me it's a problem with the fuel system, likely something buried in the $ fuel injector pump $. This after replacing a bunch of bits a few days ago. Dagnabit!
Oh, and the fault is intermittent, because of course it is. Seems to be heat related. Maybe. Whatever, I think it's gone beyond my meagre bush-mechanic skill level.
So we've organised a "tow" into Mount Isa — on a flatbed semi-trailer, 'cause we're big — and organised to move into a caravan park for a while. Paid for under our NRMA coverage.
If you're travelling, PLEASE make sure you are covered for breakdowns!

NV Access are very pleased that RACQ Magazine interviewed us for an article on NVDA, "Revolutionising accessibility through a global community". RACQ noted: "A Brisbane-based not-for-profit organisation is behind a global movement breaking down barriers for blind people."

I would expect our peak motoring body to provide better information to it's members on buying a used car than this;

Ok #RACQ I have a bone to pick with you. I got my bill…
1. I did not UPGRADE to this level of roadside assistance cover. I downgraded to the BASIC level when I bough my new car which is covered by THEIR roadside assistance.
I was willing to wear the cost to keep my very long running membership. Big difference between $106 and $160.
2. When I log into my account on your site it actually says my membership costs $152 not $160. No, the difference is not GST… have $$ just gone up with no notice?
