Недавно на просторах маркетплейсов появилась невиданная ранее диковинка - ретро-консоль с Linux на борту под немудреным названием R36s . На первый взгляд кажется что это очередная нонейм-консоль собранная из неликвидных комплектующих, однако при детальном рассмотрении выясняется, что это очень мощный гаджет не только для любителей ретро-игр, но и для гиков! Сейчас консоль стоит на маркетплейсах всего 1.800 рублей. Но если бы всё так было просто... Если вам интересно узнать, откуда в 2025 году взялся 2х-ядерный MIPS с частотой 1ГГц , что представляет из себя R36s на практике и как не запутаться в великом множестве ревизий - жду вас под катом!

I recently got myself a #R36S box which is really a cute #Linux system. Of course, I had to program it, which was actually quite easy, using either #python or #cpp with #sdl2 . The programs can easily be plugged in to #emulatorstation running on the device. I did the editing using #tramp from #emacs over #SSH Here are some screenshots. I thought about writing a post describing the experience if there is interest.

Por fin llegó el momento que estaba buscando para poder "quemar" la imagen de 256 Gb (Sistema + ROMS) que descargué de la Comunidad de #R36S en #telegram. Os dejo el enlace: https://t.me/R36Stelegram.
Es la imagen que lleva la última actualización del sistema #ArkOS y en su versión más completa hasta el momento. Elegí esta versión con ArkOS ya que es la que más se puede "toquetear" a nivel de software. Además, la versión 64 Gb que tenía hasta ahora, me ha funcionado perfectamente, por lo que no había motivos para cambiar.
Por último comentar, que la tarjeta de 256 Gb que adquirí fue la #Samsung Evo Select, la cual tiene una velocidad de 130 Mb/s y se encontraba en el listado que me facilitó @[email protected] (¡gracias!).
