Nineteen (count 'em: 19!) sweet little quail chicks and their parents take a long drink of water in the desert. 🤎 🤍 🩶 🖤 Look at those fluffy "baby plumes" on their heads!

I don't know the videographer, but I believe this is in Arizona.

I didn't realize that the California Quail is the state bird of California. Like... duh? 🤣

Here are two lovely quorbs. The first is a female, her picture taken by a Bird Buddy feeder.

The second is a stately male showing off his quorbness and beautiful black plume. I do not know the photographer.

Quail Day! 😊 🥰 😘

Here we have King Quails... although wouldn't the female then be a Queen Quail? 🤔 They do have other names, like the Chinese Painted Quail or Blue-Breasted Quail (despite the fact that only the male has a blue breast). The female is bigger than the male, and they don't have the head plumes that many other quails sport. But they are gorgeous!

How can you look at this [female] California Quail and not fall in love? Such a beautiful example of avian borbulosity, with that cute little plume on top. 🟤 ⚪ ⚫
