#Alt4You: The video starts on eye-level with a metal sign on a pole stating "please do not feed the quokkas - no matter what they say". Then the camera is pointed more towards the ground, where a quokka stands on it feet and makes noises. It puts its hands together like it would be begging. At one point, it's also leaning on the camera person's leg.

@jamesh I do think not many people get to see how many and how active the quokkas are overnight. Granted, for tourists the cost and time required for a night stay on Rottnest is hard to justify. But it was a nice part of living in Perth for 30 years that I got to do that a few times.
And of course it's one of those things less photographed - if at all, as I can't think of any photos that have depicted the lived experience I have in my memories.
