Thank you @internetarchive for letting me do a small quality of life hack.
I use a extension for Firefox that allows me to convert websites into standalone PWA's. For this extension, I need to specify a URL to an icon-sized image that can be used as the App icon in the taskbar, app switcher etc. For one of the apps I use, the icon image is linked to the internal app version and so every so often the website would clean-up old app versions & URLs, causing the icon URL to break and I would have to find a new URL manually. Until that is I realized that the website was being archived on Internet Archive.
Searched for the site on Internet Archive and found a recent capture URL. Looked at the source HTML served from Internet Archive and some URL hacking later, tada - a icon image URL that will not break. Nice!
