I am spending the week in Paris for Work Purposes, and I am once more enjoying far too much delicious food, the kind that makes the 7 hours plane ride and jet lag worth it.

Tonight at the work shindig, at a local restaurant, I had a profiterole for dessert.

Yes, singular.

A single profiterole that was the size of my head.

I am not doing a simile or exaggeration, I can't emphasize this enough. It was the size of my god damn head.

It was obscene. A monument to the arrogance of man. Both its production and subsequent consumption were fueled by hubris.

I feel like I should say "but I regret nothing" but there are some regrets looming. No one should be allowed to consume, let alone create a single profiterole the size of your head.

It was delicious, but I kept hearing Michael Caine gently saying in my hear "Yes, but have you considered the Cost?"

So, right now I am almost completely broke because my brain can justify any stupid purchase this month as "birthday present for myself" 😅

Also, last month I bought some games for my birthday with "your birthday is getting closer and this is on sale now" as an excuse...

I'll probably never learn 😂
