Because #BlueCross has dropped #MountSinai from its network, I tried to have some lab work done at #QuestDiagnostics. The attempt to make an appointment was so obtuse and impossible, I decided to just pay the out-of-network rate to have it done by competent people at Mount Sinai's lab. Something about spending 20 minutes fighting to talk to a human being, only to be told that Quest's office in Melville, which is on their web site, doesn't exist, didn't build my confidence.

I'm trying to pay a #QuestDiagnostics bill online. Using their online app, I search for and find the bill, add the total to my "cart", and click "Make a payment". It brings me back to the start page.
I go through exactly the same process again, and this time I successfully get to the checkout page. I enter my credit card number and click "Pay Now". It brings me back to the start page.
I try again. This time it says the charge failed.

“Stress cases” in UX make me sad.

I’m at Quest Diagnostics (for non-Americans, a chain of clinics where we can get bloodwork, etc. done). They redesigned the check-in kiosks and they are screwing EVERYBODY UP.

This neighborhood is full of seniors and non-English-speaking immigrants, and handling these kiosks with being flustered on top of that…the lobby was mad at the nurses, the nurses were mad at Quest IT…such a mess.
