BC Swede Creek Fire 🇨🇦According to CRD, the alert has been issued to give residents enough time to prepare to evacuate their properties if it is required.
“Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible if an evacuation order is required;

The Chilcotin post was an outpost of Fort Alexandria, on the Fraser River south of #Quesnel. It was built in 1829 as a temporary post, and served the Chilcotin region for a few years before it was closed down.
