Pay submisssion fees even if your project has no budget. We don't pay screening fees and we use public and private funding and submission fees to pay ourselves and some production partners with market fees. Because community labor has to be paid (our labor, ofc, but we dont have enough to pay the artists, or if, very symbolic fees).
What happened to queer being something we do instead of an identity, and what happened to lets get rid of extractivism and of unequal distribution of ressources?

A lot to reflect on after watching 4th Man Out last night. Loved the characters, but the story is very much what happens to a mostly straight friend group when one of them comes out. Less main character energy, more ensemble. Adam's circle was close, longstanding, and very present for him.That part felt unrelatable. I came out at 51 without a close in-person guy friend group.
