I'm always on the lookout for MM books written by gay men, and A Dash of Salt and Pepper, by Kosoko Jackson, was a real delight to find.
Xavier's in a bit of a slump. His boyfriend has dumped him, he's been laid off, and he's living back with his parents in the small town in Maine he grew up in. And he's so incredibly stuck up and full of himself that it hurts. Gurl needs to get a job and get a grip.

Winslow Houndstooth has been hired by the US government to clear out the feral hippos in the Mississippi. They think he's going to hunt them down one by one, but he has a better idea.

In Elizabeth Bear's Angel Maker, Karen is determined to provide some opportunities for her wife Priya, even if they can't be open about their relationship in this steampunk wild-west era, so Karen signs up to do stunts for a motion picture.
Except shortly thereafter, two men are brutally murdered and a Mechanical and Priya are arrested for the crime. It's up to Karen to save her beloved.
