Well, @Matt_Noyes, I finally took your advice. In truth, I couldn't avoid it any longer, this book and Victor Serge kept popping up on my radar since you recommended it. Then I read the first couple of pages on @internetarchive and was so blown away by the prose (kudos to Peter Sedgwick too), I just had to request it from #QueensPublicLibrary.
