Last Saturday we had our first field trip of the year! Dr. Chris Jass and Katherine Bramble led us around the collections at the Royal Alberta Museum, showing us the parts of the collection that the public generally doesn't get to see. Along the way we learned about Ice Age mammals, becoming a palaeontologist, and the role of the gravel industry to palaeontology.

I'd read it when it was published, but just went through again in more detail, and what a good paper. Robust stats (of course, from this group), and they do a really nice job of building the case.
