Quadball, znany wcześniej jako „mugolski quidditch”, to kolejna już w naszym alfabecie gra zespołowa, której korzenie tkwią bezpośrednio w fantastyce. Tym razem inspiracji dostarczyła seria „Harry Potter”, a że fani tego uniwersum są liczni o dobrze zorganizowani, to już od 12 lat mogą się poszczycić własną międzynarodową federacją i mistrzostwami świata. Polska liga quadballa funkcjonuje oficjalnie od 2016 roku.

Yesterday, while lounging around, I decided to watch some sports on TV and stumbled upon a game of Quadball. This fast-paced sport is based on the fictional game of Quidditch from the Harry Potter series. It’s undeniably nerdy—perhaps even a bit silly—since players run around with a broomstick (well, a regulation-length stick) between their legs. I had seen it once in The Internship and assumed it was just a comedic invention. But as it turns out, Major League Quadball (MLQ)—formerly known as Major League Quidditch—is a real, professional league in North America. Who knew?

13 octobre j'organise la captation live de matchs de #quadball au parc de Parilly à #Vénissieux près de #Lyon. C'est un tournoi en non-mixité choisie.
