Second is a lofi break from my brainstep sequencer into the QPAS, listening to the high pass output. This one's mono, and the increased resonance when the high pass cutoff is being lowered ( makes the QPAS really sing. Mostly I wanted to test boosting the bass drum with the high pass.

Time to post the results. I got two recordings; here's the first.
It's a simple bassline sent into the QPAS, then manually sweeping the filter up and down, listening to the low pass output. The second sweep has higher resonance, and sounds very satisfying over stereo headphones.

I wanted to give the impression of a seaside without actually using recordings of such (although later, in the #ProductionPhase, I did add some cassette recordings of surf, mixed low). The idea was to make it close...but not quite right. Off. Weird. Unsettling, even.

But the final finishing touch for this one came from the #Morphagene. Well, the Morphagene run into the #QPAS and #Mimeophon, then topped off by the #DesmodusVersio #reverb. A special reel of more weird human sounds I made that played forward on one side and reverse on the other got good and Morphagened up. That got sliced into a bank's worth of samples (16) and those samples finished the track -' it's all that whooshy uncanny valley stuff.
