Similarly, I just recently got onto #qJackCtl which is also an avalanche of convenience, but for #jack.

Hay tanta documentacion de como se hacia antes de #PipeWire en #Linux, que cuesta horrores encontrar como se hace ahora. Una vez lo encuentras, facil: Arrancar todos los programas de #jack con el wrapper pw-jack: pe. `pw-jack -p 512 ardour` (lo de `-p 512` es para evitar latencias de una corchea). Y en vez del #qjackctl para conectar programas, #qpwgraph. Si pw es el camino, igual deberiamos de hacer algo para que el wrapper no sea necesario. No es muy #userfriendly.

Por lo que veo, mi #Linuxmint no esta gestionando bien el #audio No me aparecen las aplicaciones para enrutearlas en #QJackctl y tengo que arrancar #jack para ver mi #behringer #UMC1820 por que los #ALSA no la detectan... no se que hacer ya.

finally I was able to make #jackd work together with #pulseaudio
I took me ages to figure this out. So now pa adds the jack sink whenever jack is started and I can continue to hear sound from pa applications.
The trick is that you need to start jackd via dbus then everything works autmagically in #debian.
the necessary option in #qjackctl in the image...

For #ScreenShotSunday #Ardour and #qJackCtl running on #Slackware 15 with #KDE as desktop environment.

Ok, once I click past the bajillion errors - every pusel audio device, including teams, shows up as a device in #qjackctl, so instead of doing all the crap to create a million pulse client devices, it just works - once you drag the connections together.

This will make my setup time MUCH shorter which is an issue because there is somebody who has the room before me who does not end on time. (grr)

And as it's just how stuff is meant to work, I think (hope) it will reduce errors and crashes.
