El día de difuntos chino es la fiesta de Qingming (清明节, Qīng, míng jié). Se celebra

Las familias acuden al los cementerios para limpiar y entregar ofrendas:
· Incienso: 香 (xiāng)
· Crisantemos: 菊 (jú)
· Té: 茶 (chá)
· Comida y frutas
· Ofrendas votivas que se incineran, desde figuras de papel, coches, casas...
· Las ofrendas votivas de dinero se llaman 冥币 (míngbì) se traduce como "dinero del inframundo".En caso de que, por algún motivo, sea imposible ir a limpiar el cementerio, se debe hacer un sobre de papel blanco, introducir dentro dinero de papel, escribir los nombres de los difuntos en el sobre y quemarlo todo en un cruce de calles pues, de esta forma, es posible mandar dinero a los parientes para que estos puedan comprarse la ropa que necesitan para afrontar el cambio de estación.

My late grandfather was a (probably autistic) man with a deep passion for flash lights and anything with batteries. So even at his grave, people leave him flash lights
Growing up with him he would often bring different flashlights with him to the bathroom (sometimes all at once) and he would demonstrate them (by pointing them at me)
I miss that weirdo so much

People shit on the Tenderloin (and in the Tenderloin, lol) but I would also describe it as the hub of Vietnamese and Khmer Chinese people. You can see it from the pho restaurants here in little Saigon, but here’s a view of some of the quieter everyday things in the private lives of people here (my neighbors have their offerings out for the ancestors for Qing Ming)

OK, no #QingMing (#ChingMing a\k\a Tomb-Sweeping Day, or as Mom used to jokingly call it, Chinese Easter) at the cemetery today for Mom, because it's raining (hard to burn ghost money or incense in the rain).
Using her advice from when we were both younger, ordered in for her ghost meal (she knew I could not cook any Chinese dishes whatsoever).
I live in Manhattan, so the "table" is a bit cramped🤦🏻♀️

🀄Buenos días y, si empezáis las vacaciones de Semana Santa hoy, a pasarlo bien.
En #China hoy se celebra la Festividad del #Qingming (#清明节), también conocida como Día de los Muertos o Día de Limpieza de Tumbas.
Como en España con las procesiones, allí también se dice que siempre llueve en este día, e incluso tienen un dicho para ello.
清明时节雨纷纷 - Qīngmíng shíjié yù fēnfēn - La lluvia en el Día de los Muertos no deja de caer.
