I had thought about doing this as part of a Romhack Thursday, but I didn't get it together in time for yesterday. And anyway, it's not a hack of another game, but a homebrew title for the Genesis/Mega Drive. Remember the old #Saturday Supercade cartoon from the early 80s? It was a collection of animated segments that were very, very loosely based on popular video games of the time.
They had #Qbert as a high schooler in a letterman jacket? #Frogger was a journalist in the swamp. #DonkeyKong was a circus escapee, with an early appearance of #Mario. In the same universe, Donkey Kong Jr. enlists the help of a motorcycle gang to find his dad. Space Ace, Kangaroo, and Pitfall also had segments.
