#Ethnomusicology is a hobby of mine (see my bio), and I’m currently obsessed with UK singer/musician Abi Sampa and the #Qawwali orchestra. The backstory of this collaboration is the ultimate in musical and cultural fusion - a fascinating tale. So of course I wrote about it, and included multiple links to music videos, a France 24 interview, and two “behind the scenes” videos that, en toto, will give the reader the whole picture. I am in love with Sampa’s resonant contralto voice, so powerful, and her stage presence - so confident, a real virtuoso. So yeah, I’m a total fan-boi. 彼の村に行くときはいつもあちこちの廟に連れて行ってもらう。今日はそもそも友人同士２人だけで聖者廟に向かうことになった際、ならばちゃいろも叩き起こして呼びつけよう、となったらしい。こういう叩き起こしは大歓迎である。
という訳で廟のカゥワーリー演奏のひとコマ（編集したけどオトも今日の演奏のオトである）。
動画じゃ認識不能だが、この廟の現指導者が専用の席に座っての演奏で、演奏終了後には長い祈祷を経て、行列を作って指導者に謁見して触れてもらい、恩寵のお裾分けを戴く。
婚礼やエンタメとしてのカゥワーリーとは奏者も聴者も根本的に異なる。
