The Python Steering Council elections are underway, and there are eight excellent candidates. We'll be in safe hands whichever five are elected.
This year we have 87 eligible core dev voters, compared to 85 last year.

The Python Steering Council elections are on right now. The SC is the technical governance of the language. (See https://peps.python.org/pep-0013/)
Anyone can be an SC candidate! But only Core Devs (https://devguide.python.org/core-developers/developer-log/) get to vote & nominate. I would love to see non-core-dev nominees! If you're invested in Python, maybe think about running, this year or in the future?
