(2024 - Paramount 10 0:40 eps)A complete farce! Rich, arrogant, cold chaebol meets poor girl who readily admits she's looking for a Cinderella scenario. Both leads do grow as characters & the show has some good messages about being true to yourself, believing in yourself, & loving yourself 1st.
Decent chemistry - although Pyo Ye Jin disappointed a bit. 2nd lead (same as "Cheer Up") again in a horrible love triangle. Stupid antics, ridiculous meet-cutes, crazy animation & sound effects. Inside jokes about other dramas the actors have been in.
You have to meet this with the right mindset: it's crude & ludicrous. Somewhat similar vibe to "No Gain, No Love," but a common story & not nearly as well executed. Lee Jun Young does not take himself seriously at all - great comedy from him & tears too.

I really like Pyo Ye Jin & I've been on a Lee Jun Young quest without really realizing it. I watched "Let Me Be Your Knight" several months ago. I just watched "May I Help You" and I finished "The Impossible Heir" today.
But I can't seem to find it anywhere! I have enough on my plan to watch list, but I think this looks very funny & I was in the mood for funny.

I didn't experience this emotional roller coaster since #FlowerOfEvil.Also it's the first time that I see #PyoYeJin in a leading role. She played tremendously well as supporting cast in #OurBloomingYouth #FightForMyWay and #WhatsWrongWithSecretaryKim

I completely agree with you about Pyo Ye-jin, both in Our Blooming Youth & What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. I haven’t watched Taxi Driver yet, so I don’t know her role there. I will be on the lookout for her work.

@s1m0n4 I would agree that I would have liked to see all the romances more fully played out - I think the sergeant and princess, the servant and teacher, and the prince and his love. I like a more definite ending, but the I also think the writers are stuck in a quandry. If they pick an ending that doesn't align with the audience's feelilngs, then they complain. By leaving these things ambiguous, everyone gets to imagine their own happy ending. I would have loved to have seen at least a couple more episodes showing how everyone ended up living happily ever after. Still gets a 10 out of 10 stars from me because in my imagination, the ending is wonderful.

Just finished my first historical k-drama and I'm still totally in love with Park Hyung-sik (shhh don't tell my husband!). I found the unfolding of clues a bit slow and then everything was rushed in episodes 17 to 20.
More than the female lead actress, I appreciated Pyo Ye-jin's performance (Ga-ram). She was already remarkable in #whatswrongwithsecretarykim and she absolutely deserves a lead role!

Our Blooming Youth (20 episodes on Viki)Another one I'm sad to see end. I will miss the characters. It was fantastic. Even as a mystery, it will be a rewatch for me. The acting is stellar. The twists were unexpected. There is a complicated mystery with political intrigue, friendships, comedy, romance and some action. It’s a commentary on trust, the importance of friends, social injustices and how they can drive people to do things they wouldn't normally, on women's voices, and how powerful people will do anything to maintain their power.

2023 - watching on VikiI am so thrilled with this show!! The mystery is great so far and the main romance reminds me of “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” - Park Hyung-sik is so talented at falling in love without realizing it!
I love the strong women and statements about women’s empowerment in this show. It’s sad that a character has to be a eunuch rather than a woman just to have a voice - and that women’s voices are still suppressed now. It also has beautiful friendships.
Trying to savor it, but I don’t know if I have the willpower.

Episode 1 and I am enthralled. The first 15 - 20 minutes were a little slow, but by the end I can’t wait to watch the next episode!
I’m looking forward to this one!!
I already love the 2 female leads. Jeon So Nee has some great fight scenes already and she & Pyo Ye Jin have already had quite an emotional scene that they did very well. Of course, Park Hyung-sik plays royalty & vulnerability so well, it seems this part was meant for him.
