@massivelyop I must have a proper sense of the gameplay loop. It cannot be just a big open, empty world. If it's a #PvP game, I need a sense of being weak, gaining skills, and fighting over x y and z in a balanced environ. If it's #PvE we need a taste of the quests, levels, combat. Basically it needs to at least be a game and not a dirty carpet covered in broken legos

TL;DR
Even if you paid for a PRINT copy, everyone gets a digital copy.
The studio collapsed, couple years ago, and they failed to keep the project together.
I am actually kinda curious as to WHAT happened, inside, besides Kurtz' family issues.

After YEARS of issues and outright disregarding/pushing readers away, the #Kickstarter Complete #PvP #webcomic project is offering every backer a DIGITAL copy of the comic. Even if you paid for print.
It should serve as a lesson in mismanagement.

One idea for a PvP session is to have each player move their character sheet to the player next to them, and then go for another few rounds.

Most D&D groups ban PvP (player against player hostile action) during regular campaign play. At my table, we have two dedicated sessions a year where that's all we do and it's a total blast.

In the teens D&D group I run/DM, we had a dedicated PvP and pizza party last night. Total blast! Ran through three scenarios with some interesting mods that were a lot of fun.
We do this 2x a year and the kiddos always look forward to it.

@BaronessWinter We never allow any player-vs-player action during our normal campaign play, only during special events that are dedicated to PvP.

@cynical13 Very true! The character that can cast Sleep has "won" a disproportionate number of times, as do those who can go invisible or have really effective ranged attacks. It's actually been a teaching moment for the players as they see how effective some characters can be during campaign combat and they use that knowledge in the next regular game. 🧠

@cynical13 I've had prizes before, things like dice bags or trays, etc. Coming up with scenarios that don't give unfair advantages to certain characters is the biggest challenge. We've yet to have personality or hard-feelings issues come up as they all know it's in-game and not personal (and deaths don't count toward the ongoing campaign).

@cynical13 I run the teens D&D program at my local public library. We do a PvP and pizza session twice a year and the kiddos LOVE it! But, they're teens. Adults may see it differently. I've never participated in one as an adult DM or player, personally. #dnd #ttrpg #pvp

Next week's teens D&D game (that I'm the DM for) is our semi-annual "PvP and Pizza Party" session. The kiddos all really look forward to it.
