For those who did not hear about Pushwoosh yet: it’s a #russion company providing a tool for push notifications. They sold themselves as #US company, but seem operate from #Novosibirsk. -

Sieht irgendwer ein Problem, wenn der Code einer russischen Firma (#Pushwoosh) in allen Apps des NDR drin ist?
Und jedes Öffnen der App mit einer appübergreifenden ID an die Firma meldet 🤔
Vielleicht sollte man auch mal diskutieren, ob es wirklich eine gute Idee war, dass die Öffentlich-Rechtlichen nicht einer externen Datenschutzbehörde unterliegen, sondern sich solche und andere Trackingeinbettungen einfach selber durchwinken.

Lieferketten sind gerade auch in der Software Branche ein Problem. Nicht immer ist es ersichtlich wer Zugriff auf die Daten hat. Diesmal ein Software Development Kit (SDK) das fast schon fragwürdig seine russische Herkunft mit Briefkasten Firmen verschleiert. Auch Apps der US-Armee und der Gesundheitsbehörde CDC sind betroffen.
Vielleicht ein guter Zeitpunkt zu schauen ob man irgendwo #Pushwoosh verwendet.
