The Morita p-adic Gamma function skips multiples of p. The ratio of consecutive values is 1 exactly when p divides n -- it reads divisibility directly. But adelic structure cannot factor: index circularity, O(n^2 log n) cost, regularization prevent it. Value: connections to Gauss sums, p-adic L-functions, adelic Riemann Hypothesis. doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20119699 #Mathematics #Math #NumberTheory #PureMath #Research #AcademicChatter #Mastodon

This episode reinforces a recurring theme of the series: asymptotics is geometry in disguise. Whether through steepest descent, Laplace’s method, or contour deformation, the dominant contribution always comes from regions where analytic structure forces concentration. Learning to recognize these regions—and to justify why others do not contribute—is the real content of the method.

Would anyone be interested in proofreading a research paper, or helping with a literature search on the topic? I am currently in the process of writing a paper that collects definitions of the Thue-Morse Sequence, and extending as many of them as possible from base 2 to base n. I believe I've collected 12 definitions of the original sequence, but I feel somewhat confident that there are more that I am missing. Additionally, I would like to be able to cite them from as many places as possible. Any advice would be much appreciated
