@markmccaughrean The most remarkable #punctures we ever had were also in Spain. We cycled from the camping to visit #Zamora and parked our cars on a vacant plot against a wall.
Coming back we had three flat tyres (and 2 inner tubes). Luckily our neighbours on the camping passed along in their car and noticed us (with inverted #bikes). We pulled 37 of the nastiest seeds I have ever seen from the tyres... And as one had only 4 we managed to patch that one.
Nice #cycling country, isn't it?! -

As a mtber, I switched to tubeless years ago . The puncture gods remember. Now I can't get tubeless to work despite a full reinstall.
My roadie sat on a trainer, unused, for years. I need to get fitter. Used it a few times, then a flat. Huh? Spare tube. Flat. Check tyre - ok. Spare tube. Flat. Remove tyre, turn inside out, find nothing. Rim tape ok. Rim ok. Fix first tube. Badly. Flat. Give up. Inspect first tube today. No leak . Check in water. No leak. Add patch.

Okay I put TPU tubes on my bike yesterday and it hasn't gone well so far, a pinch getting my tyres on during the operation, and a snakebite just now on a kerb I've taken many times using butyl inner tubes.....
On the plus side, there was a small but noticeable difference on gradients and slow grinding inclines, I've been using a gear higher for the same effort. Less rotating mass definitely helps.

Got a sidewall tear on my nearly brand new #Continental Terra Speed tyre out cycling on a #gravel ride at the weekend. My friend repaired it using a gel wrapper as a boot. Should I just put this down to bad luck and get a straight replacement tyre? I have otherwise enjoyed the feel & performance of the tyre. Or is there another gravel tyre I should consider?
