  4. First drinks in Mexico that I've not heard of or tried. This is pulque, which is made from the agave plant. It's honestly so hard to describe. The first is the traditional one and the other is a celery, lime and chilli combination. #travel #Mexico #Pulque

  5. Pulque is pretty good, but pulque curado is delicious and has replaced tamarind micheladas as my favorite drink in Mexico.

    My favorites so far have been made with nuts; walnut was particularly amazing!

  12. One of my favorite places to do fieldwork: the massive Xinantecatl #volcano in central Mexico. Here we are trekking around the summit looking for fulgurites, rocks struck by #lightning. The best part is the #pulque waiting for us when we come off this 4700 m tall mountain.
