Public health measures like "isolate when contagious", "wear a mask when risk of transmission is higher", and "adequate indoor air quality regulations" haven't been imposed for over 50 years and vaccination is the sole protective measure promoted while top scientists have pushed "let it rip", "masks don't work" and "It's not airborne".
And the list of consequences grows.

Visited a relative in a WA Health Department hospital.
COVID-19 infections in the ward according to staff.
Sign at entrance reads only, "Masking recommended".
Next to sign is a box of surgical masks and hand disinfectant.
2025 and this is what public health is delivering?
And I'm meant to have confidence in the care decisions this system makes?

And so much not done.
1. Got a respiratory infection? Try and stay at home and mask when you need to go out. And mask when with others at home.
2. Indoor air quality measures at childcare, schools, shops, offices, mass transport, especially airplanes.
3. Mask on airplanes. Have a mask with you and slip it on if you're sharing air with coughing people.
They're not really trying are they?

Another story about catching Covid on during airtravel.
A couple took care from 2020 to 2025 and had no Covid infections.
Caught a plane.
Two days later they were sick with Covid.

Indoor Air Quality and it's regulation, and creating social norms of masking when ill and isolating when dangerously infectious are now looking even more essential.
Seems a far wider range of common respiratory infections than just COVID have severe, long term, multi-organ consequences.

Of an extended family of around 20 folk, we have 2 newly symptomatic, 3 recovering, 1 tested negative and 14 untested.
The infected caught it from different places.
I am not socialising indoors or with the untested.
Looking at #PublicHealthFailure and #RespiratoryMedicine failure around the ongoing absence of #IndoorAirQuality regulations.
My sister confessed to my daughter in a text today that she regrets not getting her covid booster yet, which means that my mom probably doesn't have hers either, and now I'm even more worried about the both of them but especially my Mom, and I'm furious about the forced infection policies of most every workplace and the "covid is just a cold now" narrative that drains away the urgency from any fall booster campaign. #PublicHealthFailure #COVID #CovidIsNotOver #covidiocy 🤬
