@gilduran So not surprised Patrick Schumacher is the architect who designed some of Próspera's[1] first buildings. Ideologically he seems fully aligned...
Wikipedia: "[...] prompted controversy by promoting pro-free market ideas against social housing, housing regulations, and a centralised urban planning system. [...] He advocates for the full decentralization and privatization of architecture, planning, and development, envisioning a competitive landscape of mini-polities organized as corporations vying in the market for communal living."[2]
His 2016 call for "all social housing and public spaces to be scrapped"[3] was probably the clearest signal...
I already got similar impressions from his comments at a student critique session we both were invited to at the Architecture Association DRL school in London around 2009... 🙄

The statue now sits in a place of honor in Freedom Plaza, a square that was renamed, in 1988, for the slain civil rights leader #MartinLutherKingJr., who wrote his “I Have a Dream” speech in the nearby Willard Hotel.
…the statuary ensemble…is one of the most cogent & confrontational expressions of the #Trump admin’s views on race, urban design & public space.

…the “Spirit of ’76 at Freedom Plaza” exhibition centers on a large equestrian statue of Caesar Rodney, a Founding Father from Delaware & an enslaver….
…The installation gives the controversial Rodney statue, which was taken down from its original site in Wilmington, DE, during the 2020 #BlackLivesMatter protests, a prominent new home, perhaps temporary, in the symbolic center of the nation’s capital.

Progress against unwarranted surveillance! 🤠
“Stoughton City Council voted UNANIMOUSLY [last night, Tuesday July 28th] to cancel the Flock contract and disable/remove the cameras within 48 hours”
“They also sent the People’s Resolution to committee to create a more thorough citizen oversight/input process”
That committee will meet on Tuesday, August 4th, so the people's work continues 😏

Drained #ReflectingPool reveals Trump's 'American flag blue' liner is now closer to gray
The newly drained #LincolnMemorial Reflecting Pool’s bottom surface has noticeably faded since it was lined with a “protective” coating in a color #Trump called “American flag blue” this spring.

Erick Villagomez: “The ability to gather, dance, linger, and take up space without apology is not incidental to democratic life. It is evidence that democratic public life is actually working.”
