Does anyone know of smart critiques of the "digital sovereignty" frame in debates about big tech, digital infrastructure etc.? I'm struck by its ubiquity at #pubConf and something about it rubs me the wrong way, but I'm struggling to articulate what precisely.

Gemeente Vlissingen https://www.tenderned.nl/aankondigingen/overzicht/338519 Europese aanbesteding softwarelicenties. Maar ze bedoelen dat ze heel specifiek bepaalde software willen aanschaffen. De lijst (Annex XI in het zip-bestand) wordt aangevoerd door voor €3 miljoen aan diverse Microsoft-licenties, andere fabrikanten zijn allemaal fors kleiner, hooguit een ton. Verwachte omzet volgens gemeente Vlissingen: €1,5 miljoen per jaar.

Nu de opening door staatssecretaris @avhuffelen over publieke gemeenschapsgoederen in het digitale domein, na een inleiding over de 'meent', waar het woord gemeente ook van is afgeleid. Zo heetten grondgebieden waar meerdere mensen gezamenlijk rechten en plichten hebben, zoals dat vanaf de 12e eeuw in de Lage Landen voorkwam:
