Reindeer lichen in the dunes. First, the typical colony, in the sand under an oak tree. Then a little closer look and we see that wonderful but strange green color. Finally, very close, it looks extraterrestrial, and wow, there are little purple dots deep inside that colony. #lichen #dunes #ProvinceLands #PtownArtists #GetOutside

This Friday's art appreciation moment presents the Provincetown Art Association and Museum Members 12x12 auction. Close to 500 artists have submitted works for your viewing and purchase. Notable artists are Paul Kelly, Mike Wright, Brenda Silva, all from Provincetown, and out of town members such as Garrow Throupe and, of course, Cynthia Cole.
