Did you collect fern seeds* this summer? Congratulations! This is the best time of year to use them. Be invisible for a while when family parties get stressful sure is helpful but by far the best thing is that, if you keep fern seeds in your pocket, you can listen in on animals on new years eve. Hear how fox and hare, fawn and squirrel speak of spring and summer when the new ferns sprout...
*At least that is what has been believed throughout Europe, when the whole business of fern propagation was still a mystery (well, its pretty mysterious still). One legend was that the "invisilbe seed" can be seen and gathered during summer solistice - that is...if you don't let the witches distract you.
