If you haven't seen it yet, our colleagues Mehdi Khamassi and Yael Niv have been working on a sign-on letter for psychologists and neuroscientists around the world calling for international pressure towards an immediate ceasefire and peace in the Middle-East.

Their explanation:

"We take a humanist approach, condemning all violence targeting civilians, using psychology to try to explain why things have escalated so badly (e.g., talking about in-group/out-group, extremism, dehumanization, revenge, etc.), and why international pressure is needed to stop this spiral of death now.

I haven't followed the events so well and thought that a ceasefire had just been implemented, but it can't hurt to sign the letter and share it! Better late than never..
