    The small dark triangular moth in the middle near the bottom of frames 3 and 4 is a male of the interesting #bagworm #moth (#Psychidae) Cebysa leucotelus, found through much of eastern #Australia and (since 1981), the northern parts of #NewZealand.

    The vast majority of names for this group in the old LepIndex dataset are no longer considered current. The update added 30% more accepted species for the family.

  3. I just found this little bag worm that’s been living in my room. I feel honoured that it’s been using my detritus to build it’s home, but also slightly worried about it eating my house plants.
