It’s official, State Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir is the new PSSI chairperson for 2023-2027 after winning the PSSI leadership election by 64 votes against 22 for former chairperson La Nyalla Mattalitti. No other candidate received any vote.
Thohir has always been heavily involved in sports management, having been an owner and chairman of football teams Inter Milan and DC United, formerly a co-owner of NBA team Philadelphia 76ers, and is currently co-owner of English League One team Oxford United and Indonesian Liga Satu team Persis Solo.
