  1. Raiders of my Lost Mind - A deep dive into the whacky world of #Pseudoarchaeology: bajr.org/raiders-of-my-lost-mi (long rant with a helpful guide to spot an archaeology story that isn't).

  3. Fighting Pseudoscience with Science Communication
Video highlights from a lecture Milo Rossi gave at the University of Maine in the fall 2024, discussing the dangers of #pseudoscience, #pseudoarchaeology and the importance of Science Communication

  4. If you got a hammer everything looks like a nail.

ln the light of current discussions I really think one of the major distractions with #pseudoarchaeology is an obsession with the idea that there *must* be a secret, a hidden code which needs to and can be decoded - while it's really just about past humans living their lives.

  5. Additionally, the whole #Akakor story's still out there. To this day. Despite having been debunked long ago, it's an often cited trope fuelling #pseudoarchaeology narratives about ancient civilisations including the racist deprivation of ancient and #Indigenous people's culture and history.

  6. My favorite "Graham Hancock" Quote?

"In what archaeologists have studied, yes, we can say there is NO Evidence of an advanced civilization." - (Time 1:27) Joe Rogan Experience #2136 - Graham Hancock & Flint Dibble

  7. British Israelism is a variant of #fundamentalist #Christian theology based on #pseudoarchaeology. In general it claims the lost tribes of Israel migrated to the British Isles and were the ancestors of today's White British people. It was a popular theory in the early 20th century, at least in the U.K. where it served as a theological pseudo-justification for the British Empire. It fell out of favour because the evidence for it is completely lacking.

  8. Except we can, it's our job.

#Archaeology can no more explain that than it can explain why the earliest monuments, art, sculptures, hieroglyphs, mathematics, medicine, astronomy and architecture of Ancient Egypt are perfect at the beginning without any traces of evolution from simple to sophisticated

  9. REEEAAAALLLYYYY Thinking hard abt reviving the channel. The Therapist gave me homework to do. So, I will do my homework, but do I go on?

Obvs it's not the same ol, but there's still pseudo and paranormal archaeology to talk about.

  10. If you're a listener of the QAnonAnonymous podcast (or just looking for an interesting podcast to listen to), their newest episode is about the group that I happen to know a little bit about 😉 - Brother XII and the Aquarian Foundation! I'm grateful to have been invited for a little interview (I promise I'm not spamming you with too much cursed B12 knowledge), which you can catch at the end of the episode! m.soundcloud.com/qanonanonymou

  11. If Erich von Däniken or Graham Hancock had found this stone, they'd be singing to the heavens of their proof of ancient aliens. And Netflix would commission a series. #pseudoarchaeology #charlatans

  12. New bookmail just arrived! On the British-Israelite excavations at Tara (1899-1902). Already I'm seeing similarities between this & the heartland mormons excavating in search of zarahemla. Which has me thinking a new, expanded direction for the paper I've been slowly planning about the heartland guys 🤔

  13. Yesterday I listened to the latest QanonAnonymous podcast episode on the devolution conference (sad at how much at the conference touches on so many themes in my research, including Brother XII 😫) and there was a very, very brief mention of "chronovisor." Which made me think back to the only other time I've actually heard "chronovisor" mentioned - the Atlantis lecture I attended a few years ago.

  14. Oops, we did it again!

I recently had another great chat with Liv Albert on her podcast, Let's Talk About Myths, Baby! We chatted pseudoarch, archaeology, documentaries (yes, that Netflix show), all sorts of fun things! Link is to Spotify, but you can find LTAM,B on a variety of platforms

  15. The recording is now available for my recent ASBC talk about Brother XII and the Aquarian Foundation! I've shared the link in a short new blog post, alongside a bonus story about the connections between Brother XII and BC's current heritage protection laws 👀

  16. How is Brother XII and the lost continent of Mu connected to the creation of heritage/archaeology protection laws in BC? It's an interesting little side story to the Brother XII saga!

Brother XII was an Atlantis/Egyptian Mysteries guy. But two figures involved in the Aquarian Foundation saga were Mu guys. Bruce McKelvie, a journalist who became kind of weirdly personally invested in the drama, and Victor Harrison, the prosecuting lawyer in the 2nd court case.
