@johnefrancis In another life, decades ago I was on a #PSAC union training program with some federal meat inspectors. This was back in the early 1980's when inspectors were on site inspecting on a daily basis. The beef inspectors never ate beef. the pork inspectors didn't eat pork and the chicken inspectors didn't eat chicken. None of them ate any kind of sausage. That was WITH neutral government inspection. It's no longer the case today.

well at least they got something concrete about working from home unlike most of the rest of the public service. (apparently - details are not public yet)

As a non #PSAC public sector worker I have to admit I'm a bit demoralized by the current offer and how none of us can ever catch up with inflation apparently. It's not even on the table. Even though my union #CUPE is still in the middle of negotiations the figures are even lower and the way it's set up they can not even ask for a higher amount unless all BC public sector workers go on a general strike.

More than 155,000 of #Canada's federal public servants across the country begin a #strike

The announcement came after two bargaining groups representing a significant part of the government workforce entered a legal strike position last week.

In January, #PSAC announced strike votes for the Treasury Board group due to a disagreement with the department over proposed wage increases that are outstripped by the rate of inflation.
