I revived our very small pool today because it's starting to be hot outside.
One of the O-Rings had disintegrated and i already hat a trip to the hardware store today and it was closed by now.So, I just loaded up the, at least 5 year old, Ninjaflex filament in my #prusamk4 and #3dprinted a new one in less than 10 minutes including "cad" (if you can call making 2 concentric circles that :) )
That's what i love about #3dprinting

The MMU works well with #Octoprint. I use Octoprint mainly because it offers me more options than the Native Prusa solution. You select the material in the slicer - which should of course be loaded in the MMU - and then send the print file to Octoprint. Octoprint will ask you if you want to print with the submitted filaments or something else, or if everything is ok, and then start the print.Of course, this requires flawless interaction between the MK4(S) and MMU3 at the hardware level. I had some initial problems with this, but they had nothing to do with Octroprint.
In the meantime, I have made some extensions [(un)original heatbox, different buffer system, housing and a few other small things] so that I could start production.

I used the part cancellation feature for the first time today and I'm pretty happy about how well it worked. Not having to cancel the whole print saved a lot of time and material.

Today I’ve advanced to a next level of 3D printing fan club.
Yesterday, when printing a part for my son’s base the printer went awry and messed it up. I’ve stoped it in the middle of printing. I’ve then tried a tiny few minute model, and it failed.
I’ve decided to run printer calibration and to my surprise it failed. I’ve rerun it 3 times with same result: Y-axis cannot be calibrated.
I’ve spend some time searching and it seemed that a Y-axis belt may be incorrectly fastened. I’ve used Prusa app to check it, but it seemed good.
I’ve been wondering what else may be wrong and had an “aha” moment and decided to check all screws. That’s how I’ve found out that the screws on this little piece have loosen themselves and were causing a slip when an engine was trying to push the printing bed really fast.
Now it works and I can go back and print the joints ;-)

I've spent the better part of the last two days assembling a gadget called a "multiple materials unit" (MMU) from #Prusa3D for my #PrusaMk4. Assembly is done and and I'm about to start updating firmware and calibrating the components. Then a test print.
Wish me luck. It's equal parts exciting and terrifying. I'll be happy I pushed myself outside my comfort zone when it's working (and it WILL ultimately work). But I'm going to have a knot in my stomach until I get there.

About to begin the assembly of an MMU3 unit for my #PrusaMK4 because I don’t feel like I’ve gotten in over my head nearly often enough…

Yesterday I was watching the new Ghostbusters and so I had to print these little Mashmellows from @wekster2507 printed on a Prusa MK4 with MMU3

#3dprinting is just awesome!
20 minutes #freecad , 10 minutes printing on the #prusamk4 .OK. Maybe I could have spent one more minute on thinking and measuring, but it works :D

Some really cool nametags being printed today on a #PrusaMK4 in the makerspace. Creations by 9-year old school children after a #Tinkercad class 🦾 👌

To PETG. Bez zabawy w suszenie filamentu i jakiś mądrości opowiadanych w internecie.

The only problem with the Prusa MK4 is that once I saw it working all can think about it upgrading all my MK3. Such speed!

PCCF looks so incredibly stunning and beautiful. It’s almost a shame there aren’t more colours available.
New part cooling shroud and fan door on the way!

Took a while for the Prusa people to make it work reliably, but the Multi Material Upgrade 3 for the MK4 printer is finally shipping!
I may post some building photos, and I'll definitely post some printing videos.

Tor prosty, długość to 16LU (lego unit, 16mm) podwójny zwykły prosty, czyli 256mm (a z wypustkami dodatkowe cm), dzięki ułożeniu po przekątnej da się ;)

I love it when a plan starts to come together. I'm still not great at imagining things in 3D but am getting closer. This is a printed assembly of a corner bracket, two cross bars, and the "X" shaped tie that binds them. No tools required (so far). Just slot together and twist the turn lock. #MODxMOD #furniture #3DPrinting #PrusaMK4 #Prusa

The print came out very good. It fits Duplo tracks well, there are few minor caveats: the track is about 0.4-0.6 mm higher than original tracks (train can handle it, not sure about perfectionist me) and it’s a bit tight on connector.

I haven't posted my prints for some time. ;-)
Straight Duplo track of 12 duplo studs, equal to about 120 LU (Lego Units, one is 1.6mm).
We (me & son) need them to build looooong bridges ;-)
This one is a test run. If it works more or less ok, i'm gonna print few more.
It was generated and fine tuned from a OpenSCAD model available on Thingiverse.
I have my own brick OpenSCAD script, which generates better print models, but my script is inferior in parametriztion and it's not that easy to integreate it.

Mój syn (3l) uwielbia labirynty, więc postanowiłem wydrukować mu sześciokątne klocki do układania labiryntów.
W drukarce leci druk kolejnych 9 z zakrętami.

#3DPrinting is such a rabbit hole. I mean that in a good way. So far the #PrusaMK4 and the #PrusaSlicer do a great job of getting out of my way and just working. Some small self inflicted bed adheasion and slicing failures, otherwise the results were pretty awesome so far.
Such a feeling of the future just measuring e.g. a lamp shade attachment and remaking it a little bit sturdier. Having one's own replicator. I know I'm late to the game. ^^
