And the physical result: #3Dprint version of a fidget spinner made with a #PrusaMini, nice and simple 😅 🍶

@forse I have been using a #PrusaMINI at home and at work for a long time now and am still happy.

I need to stop ignoring this. I need to learn how to properly maintain my 3d printer.
Recently the hotend got pushed out from under the heat sink and its making the nozzle leak out of the top. Honestly I don't really know how to fix this.

Another sunny day. How we use our over production of #solar #energy today? By using our #prusamini #3dprinter for producing recyclable #pla housings for our single board computers. #arm #sbc #odroid

@jonathankoren Interesting! I use a 0.6mm CHT (high flow) nozzle on a #PrusaMINI with #PrusaSlicer and pretty much all seams are too *thick*, which makes tolerances ultra hard to get right. It feels like larger nozzles aren't yet tuned all that well in the slicers...
EDIT: scarf seams are also rather thick and ugly where they start and end.
Is there an option to tweak the seam "thickness" manually? 🤔 I didn't find any.

Looks like our #PrusaMINI killed itself. It does turn on but gets very hot and the USB flash drive is not recognized anymore. Didn't do anything fancy, just used #PrusaLink to start a print.
Ordered a replacement board, luckily <50€ 👍

800 lines of :nixos: #nix later and I have successfully beefed up our #3dPrinting infrastructure at work @umphy with one #RaspberryPi 4:
· a https://gethomepage.dev landing page
· three fullHD webcams, one for each printer, with current filament visible
· a smart #Tasmota multiplug to remotely power off a printer in case of a problem/hangup
· 🐙 #OctoPrint for the Prusa MK3S, #PrusaLink by the #PrusaMINIs

@Seedoubleya Happens on a #PrusaMINI as well with shitty or wet filament. Very annoying indeed.

Holy cow! Two blog posts in one week! https://andywarburton.co.uk/2024/ai-powered-greeting-cards-2d-printed-on-a-prusa-mini-3d-printer/
This is the one where I share my journey converting my Prusa Mini 3d printer into a 2d pen plotter and using it to make custom greetings cards using AI!

I have bought a 3D printer, but the amounts that we need to print is bringing me to a conclusion, that I need another 3D printer, maybe two

Well it kinda works! First test plot! I guess I need to figure out how to make it lift up during travelling!

The #PrusaMini is outdated these days. It prints okay enough as long as you don't need effective cooling. But the inductive bed sensor is annoying to deal with and the printer overall has random issues every few months. #3DPrinting

Either I cleaned the bed with the wrong stuff or maybe I do need to keep the [enclosed] #PrusaMini after all. Absolutely terrible PETG warping on the #A1Mini. #3DPrinting
