ps. prison wine is known as "pruno"
Due to the ad-hoc methods of brewing, it tends to result in botulism outbreaks (although, only so often). Apparently there is quite a bit of interest in brewing pruno in prisons., some great quotes in this study below:
"Everybody makes it. Don’t matter if you’re getting out tomorrow or if you’re here for life"
"All of them [make it], almost . . . everybody from gangs to child molesters all do it"
